Services Available

All grooms include ear, eye, and nail care, along with tidying of foot pads. I attend to sanitary areas and check anal glands. Bathing includes conditioning with attention to the health of the skin and brush-outs include de-tangling and de-matting. For pets with longer coats, I provide breed-specific clippering, scissoring and styling.

How I Charge

My Basic Grooming fee for a dog is $89.00. In my Basic Groom, I trim the sanitary area, clipper the feet, clean the eyes, clean the ears, give a double bath, condition the coat if appropriate, and provide a full brush out which removes the dead undercoat.  If your pet needs a trim, we add $10.00 for a small dog and up to $40.00 for a larger dog, such as a labradoodle. My mobile fee is $36.00 to bring my Sprinter to your home -- a one time charge no matter how many pets I see at my visit. If your doggie has not had a recent grooming and has become badly matted, you can anticipate an additional charge ($10.00 to $20.00 depending on the size of the pet) for either light dematting or, if necessary, a full shavedown. If you have a wonderful big dog with a double coat, you will need to expect a charge of $18.00 for the additional time required for coat conditioning, drying and undercoat brush out. Other popular auxiliary services are filing (dremmeling) the nails ($28.00), toothbrushing (my husband is a retired dentist and I have learned how most dogs -- and their owners -- love to have their teeth freshened),  or use of a specialty shampoo for skin sensitivity ($8.00).

For a cat, my Basic Grooming fee is $89.00 (which includes the same services as outlined above for dogs), with a mobile fee of $36.00 to bring my Sprinter to your home (same charge for one cat or multiple cats). Popular auxilliary services are lion cuts ($20.00), dematting without a cut ($20.00), or a plush groom (shortening the coat of a long haired cat following the Basic Groom) for $20.00. I can apply "Soft Paws" nail caps (recommended only for short haired cats) for $18.00 for front nails, $28.00 for all nails, which can help protect your nice furniture.

How I Schedule

Please call (925) 934-8737 and leave me your name, your type of pet and weight, and your general location. I will return your call as soon as I am able to set up a grooming visit when I am next available in your area. I routinely allow one and one half hours for my first visit for both assessment and initial grooming.  We will then determine together what grooming cycle is appropriate and schedule future grooming appointments accordingly, placing your pet on a 4 week, 6 week, 8 week, or 10 week recall cycle.

Regular and repeat grooming are necessary to properly maintain your companion’s coat without subjecting her to unpleasant or unsafe grooming procedures. Infrequent grooming for many breeds, for example, poodle mixes and pets with longer coats, inevitably creates undue stress for both your pet and the groomer.
